Southern Tier, NY - Today, Senator Lea Webb announced that she has been endorsed by the New York State AFL-CIO. Representing 2.5 million union members, retirees, and their families, the AFL-CIO joins a long list of unions supporting Webb, a testament to her record of fighting for fair wages, good benefits, and strong worker-safety protections for workers and their families across Upstate New York.
Said Mario Cilento, President of the New York State AFL-CIO, “In her time in the Senate, Lea Webb has proven her commitment to fighting for unions and their members in the public sector, private sector and building and construction trades. She has also led the effort to protect film and television production workers from the negative impacts of artificial intelligence. We proudly support Lea Webb and are committed to educating and mobilizing our members to help her win on election day."

The New York State AFL-CIO is a federation of 3,000 affiliated public sector, private sector, and building trades unions throughout the state, representing 2.5 million members, retirees and their families.
Webb is running for reelection to New York’s 52nd Senate District, which includes Cortland County, Tompkins County, and part of Broome County. She has been endorsed by a long list of unions, including 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Binghamton-Oneonta Building Trades Council, Binghamton Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 729, Broome-Tioga Federation of Labor
Central NY Area Labor Federation, Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA),, Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 1, DC4 International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA-NY), Mason Tenders District Council, New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Public Employees Federation (PEF) , Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), United Auto Workers (UAW), United University Professions (UUP), and Workers United.
